Sweetwater Canyon Drive Neighborhood
A home and beautifully landscaped property lie behind a gate on Sweetwater Drive.
The private Sweetwater Canyon Drive begins on the landside of PCH, just east of the Pier.
From there, the drive winds uphill onto the eastern side of Sweetwater Canyon. There is no connection to Sweetwater Mesa on the west side of the canyon, considered part of the Serra Retreat neighborhood.
The generally large and distinctive homes are spaced widely along the hairpin turns of Sweetwater Canyon Road, to a cul-de-sac at the end. A small number of short side streets branch from the main road. Most homes can hardly be seen from the road. The ocean views from these homes are among the best, especially at the higher elevations.

This is a very quiet and somewhat isolated neighborhood, with low density and little traffic. As an entirely private community, the residents like it that way and will keep it so.
